Yes indeed. I remember back in my youth when we first started playing the game that my mom was happy that we (my brother, our friends and I) spent so much time playing the game in the basement rather than being out on the street doing who knows what. I think she was more than a bit sad when we grew up and moved out of the house taking the D&D games with us.Happy Mother's Day to all those RPG moms out there!
My mother bought me my first D&D book. I'd just started playing, and she found a campus bookseller that sold the Blue cover basic rule book. I still have that book.
My mother bought me my first RPG as well, for my 21st birthday back in 1977. I had just left rock'n'roll behind and was casting about for something to fill my life. She nailed it, bless her memory! My son's mom is a gamer, though, so the poster - "Asking you if you won the D&D game since 1974" doesn't apply to her. :D-clash
Should mention my son's mom is my sweet wife of 25 years, this month... :D-clash
