Zack’s Gen Con Liveblog: Day Minus-1

We should be heading up to the Indianapolis Convention Center, Gen Con Central, in a little bit today. If so, I will try to post some photos. Michael Wolf of Stargazer’s World is here, and Jeff Uurtamo of The Bone Scroll will be getting in this afternoon. To say we are a tad excited is an understatement.

Keep checking back here Thurs-Sun, as I will continue to update from the convention floor as I have time. No one is quite sure how the free internet is going to work this year, but I’m working on some backup plans as well. Keep in mind I usually only do 1-2 posts per day, but continue to edit those posts.

For a lot of people, Gen Con has already begun, although the official opening isn’t until tomorrow. Plenty of folks milling around, grabbing their badges, setting up in the dealer hall, or even starting some impromptu gaming sessions. You’ll see developers and publishers coming in and out of the (still closed) dealer hall, and lots of Gen Con personnel running around making sure everything is perfect.

It isn’t a full roar yet, but the call of Gen Con is definitely getting louder by the minute!

EDIT: Traffic and construction around the convention center is a bear this year. We ran out of time before we got to the convention center today--had to go to the airport. Looks like it'll be tomorrow early morning for us!

Yes, the horn resounding has sounded. The call of geekdom has been heard and acknowledged. Those that are heading to the gathering. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

And here I sit, stuck at work. Time to attend vicariously through blogging.
